Carpet Re-Stretching – Is the most requested carpet repair service we get. Many carpets today are not installed properly. Even those installed by some large otherwise reputable companies almost always use independent installers that cut corners and do not perform a time consuming process called “Power-Stretching”. This is the process of using a boom to stretch the carpet from one wall to the opposite wall. The Carpet and Rug Institute says in their CRI100 Standard that all carpet should be Power-Stretched to a “Drum Tight” condition during installation.
